Say goodbye to the old TinyMCE Editor and say hello to Gutenberg, the new visual editor that WordPress has been working on for sometime now (was supposed to be released in May of 2018). The jump to 5.0 promises to be a big one and whether the increased visual aspects of the new editor called “blocks” will be a big hit or a flop is yet to be seen. One thing we do know is that plugin upgrades and new security features will roll out and theme compatibility and site versioning will be a must when jumping to a completely new version of the CMS that 31% of the Internet has come to love. Here at Pepper Lillie, we put a lot of faith in the community that supports WordPress and are excited for this new chapter in it’s history.
